Racing Update, 7-15-09

Lots of racing action has transpired since my last post. One of the most exciting results was this pictured rider taking the field sprint at the Sheboygan Criterium of the TOAD Series. I raced in the Cat 3's and had a field sprint of my own with 4 laps to go that effectively netted me $75, and then relegated me to a mid-pack finish. There was also my next endeavor at the Greenbush Road Race which was less than stellar due to the last lap break getting caught with the two finishing climbs left to go. Once again, relegated. Some excellent training though since I skipped the Eau Claire WORS race. Ben, Joe, Mike ,and April all had solid results at this race = job well done! April also had an awesome 1st place finish in the solo 6 hour division at the Levis Mound WEMS race. Lastly, I took Michael down for some TT action at the Whitewater 20k TT. Both of us and Sean raced very well on a technically demanding course. Lots of twisty roads punctuated some sharp but short climbs, and a uphill finish to add a little hurt at the end! I placed 2nd in the Master 3's = entry fee returned as a prize. Similar results at the Chiropractic Partner's TT the following week. Now the final countdown towards the 40k TT State Championship on August 9th begins.

Some other upcoming events for CFF athletes include: Superweek, Spirit of Racine Triathlon, and Sunburst WORS.

Be safe, have fun, and most importantly treat each other kindly; while tearing it up .
