WORS #7 Crystal Ridge

Past client, current age group winner in Comp (and 4th overall); congrat's goes out to Glen S! Perhaps the foundation built in the 1st half of this year paid off? Sometimes it takes time for all of the hard work to culminate into results. Otherwise, Sean S continues to move up in the Comp points standings. Same in Sport with Matt L, Mike S, and Rob M. Ben M had a tough race but retains 1st overall in his age group; better races to come. Mike H also showed some improvement in Elite as he prepares for CX racing. And last but not least, April D and I continued to string consistently good finishes to help solidify our positions with 5 more races to go. Now the fun really starts!
I have to thank all that cheered for me during the Elite race. My start was less than perfect because of pulling out of a pedal about half way up the start hill. I quickly regrouped but lost 10 to start the first single-track in 20th. Had good power to pass in the few open spots on laps 1 and 2 but could only put it in "economy" mode for the last 2 laps because the cramps were setting in. Crystal Ridge really puts your Muscular Endurance to the test. Anyhow, finished 10th overall and 1st in age = success! A special thanks goes out to my support person = Brittany Nigh. She provides the bottles and encouragement needed to get me to the finish line.
